What is a Stump Grinder?

A stump grinder is a specialized machine that removes tree stumps by means of a rotating wheel with cutting teeth that sweeps side to side and chips or 'grinds' away the wood of the tree stump. Leaving only wood chips that can be used as mulch around the garden.

We can remove stumps of any size to  reclaim your yard. Stump grinding can also help stop termites from nesting in the dead stump and the growth of fungus or other decay matter.

Stump grinding is required if you want to concrete or pave over the area, replant over it and to also remove the unsightly stump from the tree for a more aesthetically pleasing look.

What we charge to remove your tree stumps depends on the size of the tree stump and what you will be doing with the area.

Council Permits

We can advise you on specific requirements for tree removal or pruning and help you to gain council approval. This will involve completing an application form, paying the fee required by council and providing any other supporting documentation (e.g. Arborist Report) if relevant. Council may take up to a couple of weeks so keep this in mind when planning your project.
